Calypso Land Deeds

I finally got the chance to get my hands on a Calypso Land Deed(CLD). This means that I am now a certified Calypso Citizen! Yay! :-)

I was able to buy it off of my Society Members because when I had finally had the PED 1,000 for the CLD all the available CLDs on Global Auction was a minimum 5-pack @ PED 5,000. Currently (EUT 8:45 2012-03-20) the smallest available pack is a 10 piece @ PED 10,000.

If you have a CLD you can check your earnings and collect them from your PED Flow Center. My earnings so far are:

DateEarningsROI
2012.03.124.15
2012.03.196.67
2012.03.264.30
2012.04.023.64
2012 YTD18.76/td>24.4

Currently I have 10.82 in earnings from my CLD in two weeks. That is the equivilant of a ROI of 28.1%

So now I am saving the money from this CLD to get some nice stuff :-)

New Puny mission with VU 12.5.2

For those of us not overly skilled, the VU 12.5.2 came with a new Puny mission chain on Planet Calypso.

You get the missions from Ingrid J at South Swamp Camp. And as a new feature, when you complete one mission, you will be asked - in the field - if you want to accept the next mission in the chain. If this applies to all missions or just this one, I am not sure, but it is really a big help, not having to go back to the broker to accept the next mission in the chain.

Currently I have encountered these missions in the chain:

Hunt 100 Puny (bonus Aim Skill)
Hunt 500 Puny (bonus Anatomy Skill)
Hunt 1,000 Puny (bonus Combat Reflexes Skill)
Hunt 5,000 Puny (bonus )

There are plenty of punies just North of Port Atlantis (PA), on the road from PA to South Swamp Camp (SSC) and around SSC.

Mobs of Puny maturity include: Cautergus (L1), Berycled (L2), Tripudion (L3)

I am using an un-amped Sollomate Opalo (standard TT weapon) which will finish most mobs in 2-3 shots (not counting misses) and sometimes in 1 shot (esp. with Critical hits). I am not using any armour. Both in order to achieve the most economical run I can. It might be even more eco to amp the Opalo with an Omegaton A101 but I have not been able to buy one at a reasonable price yet.

Good hunting!

See You, out there!

Looking for Weapon Amps

In my quest to get my PEDs last longer I am trying to make the most of the ammo and weapons that I use.

So first of all I started hunting "naked" - that is without armour, as it gets damaged which equals money being spent on repairs. With the mobs I am hunting at the moment (Daikibas mainly) it is simply not worth it.

Another way of making your PEDs last is to use an Amp for your weapon. It adds damage for a minimal added decay and ammo burn. Thus you get more damage per PED spent. But you have to look at the repair or replacement cost plus the extra ammo cost in relation to the added damage.

So currently I am looking for the following amps:

Omegaton A101
Omegaton A102

If you one (or more) of these for sale then feel free to contact me. Leave a comment here below or find me in-game - I am often in Twin Peaks on PLanet Calypso.

See You, Out there!

Daikiba Stampede!

This is one of my favourite hunting spots for Daikiba. The Daikiba Stampede. Located across the river to the East of South Swamp Camp is a green peninsula which has several Daikibas spread across it. Venture further East-North-East on this green peninsula and You will come to a less lush area almost at the southern coast.

This Wave Event has three entrances; West, North-West and East:

West Entrance (63552,74523)

North-West Entrance (63570, 74688)

East Entrance (63771, 74610)

The Wave Event has 5 rounds that starts when You enter the Event Area. Each wave has progressively mature Daikibas:

Daikiba/Wave12345
L4 Young16.5(a)10*
L4 Mature5(a)12*
L5 Old1(a)6*
L6 Provider3*
L7 Guardian**
L8 Dominant
*At least one present in that round.
(a)Data from less than 5 incidents.
(The above table will be updated when data becomes available)

With the progression of maturity in the Daikibas in each wave, supposedly the loot from the 5th and last wave should be rewarding.

When exiting the wave event either by completion or by death, the wave event will be available after 20 minutes. If multiple combattants are in the wave area then just one remaining combatant in the event area will keep the event alive, thus giving the combatants getting killed or other wise leaving the event area the possibility to return. When killed You will be revived at the nearby Outpost (63228, 74417)

Happy Hunting!

See You, Out There! :-)

Disciple Progression

Edited June 19th 2012:

FINALLY!!

I'm almost there! I am ready for my "graduation hunt" with my mentor! When I have completed that and my mentor has graduated me, I will post my graduation gift from Planet Calypso/Mind Ark.

I decided to take a closer look at how I progress as a Disciple with attention to the relationship between the 3 meassured skills and the progression percentage.

I will probably not be able to unlock the mechanism behind Mentor - Disciple progression but at least I can record my progression and maybe someone can use the info?

As you can see I do Hunting mostly, then Mining, then Crafting. And most of the Engineering actually comes from mining and repairing vehicles.

At the moment I am going to do more Hunting before I do more Crafting as Hunting increases my (*) Weaponry Technology skill.

That is if I hunt with a Laser (Rifle or Pistol) I skill Laser Weaponry Technology, if I hunt with a BLP (Rifle or Pistol) I skill BLP Weaponry Technology. And the greater those skills are, the better the chance of I get of successfully crafting a weapon in that category (Laser, BLP, etc).

See You out there! ;-)

My first Global!

It's been a while since I wrote something here ....

I've been hunting a lot lately, mainly on Daikibas.

This started with Merry Mayhem 2011 since I was in Category 1 whos target was? Daikibas. I've now completed the 1,000 Shinkiba Mission from Twin Peaks Mission Broker and has started the 5,000 Shinkiba Mission. (For some reason Daikibas count in this one as well. Not sure why? If You know, please write it in the comments section).

My favourite place to hunt Daikibas is east South Swamp Camp, across the river.

I prefer the Outpost at (63229, 74418) as a starting point as it is closer to most of the Daikibas in the area. If I go to far north and/or west I end up at South Swamp Camp (, ).

The only weakness with the Outpost is that it has only a Revival Point, Repair Terminal and Trade Terminal, so You cannot put anything into or out of your storage, and it is not possible to TelePort here.

Now on to the title of this post: I got my very first global today! Hunting an L7 Daikiba Guardian I got 51 PEDs of loot :-)

I am not entirely sure of the content of the loot, but the main drop was a full TT Emik S50 (L) @ 45 PED TT value.

I am keeping this BLP Pistol together with a 34 PED value one I got earlier for skilling up my BLP skills. I need to work a bit on my BLP skills though as the SIB on both Ranged BLP (Dmg) and BLP Pistoleer (Hit) starts at 3.0. Both of mine are in the 2.x range.

I am very excited about getting my very first Global, and look forward to more up ahead :-)

See You out there! ;-)
